Since our humble beginnings in 2006, when Richard was hands on with the first $35,000 job, we have completed projects valued at a total of $11 million in the Columbia Valley including at Panorama Mountain Resort. The illustrious project list includes four new homes with the balance being renovations consisting of approximately 46 clients to date.

Richard Unger was only new to the valley, but not to the industry or to leadership. Beginning with a concrete construction company inWinnipeg in 1976, he then raised his sights on Calgary in 1981 taking a job with Patella Construction Inc. as estimator/coordinator. This led to a transfer to Vancouver, where he eventually became Vice President Western Canada responsible for $8M in sales for the company which specialized in the construction of commercial interiors.

Nine years later Richard started Priority Projects Limited with Terry Grant as partner. This company grew to $10M in annual volume solely in Vancouver, also specializing in tenant improvements. During this time the company was exposed to a modular approach to office interiors, which led Richard to Washington, D.C. as Regional VP for Smed International where the customers were technology companies, law firms, accounting firms and the U.S. government.

This career path changed soon after Smed was sold to Haworth. At this point in 2004, Richard decided to return to an original idea from 1980 which was to live in the mountains and build homes. This led to Invermere, B.C. where Ski Home Limited was incorporated in 2005
